I am using Firefox 3.5.4. I would like to make a Word file out of my bookmarks so that i can view it and decide my next step. Can you help, please?

I use Linux and have Firefox 3.0.14, so I'm not sure if this will work for your version.

Go into "Organize Bookmarks" (access it through the Bookmarks menu item). Click on "Import and Backup" and then slide the pointer down to "Export HTML" and save that file to your desktop (it might help to give it a distinctive name, like "Bookmark file for Word".)

Then open it up in Word (Word should open HTML files . . . I know OpenOffice does).

BTW, what do you want to do with this that you can't do in FF?

BobJam;
I am hoping that your solution works and provides me with the URL as well as the name of the link.
The first answer to your question is that I have too many bookmarks and I want to view them to determine which to delete.
The second answer to your question is that I want to take the pruned result with me when I travel so that I won't have to rediscover what I like to use regularly.

The result is EVERYTHING in HTML. I will be able to live with the result. It will take a while to get it readable, but at least, I have more than I did.
Thank you.

That is just about the same as the HTML. The HTML file ran to 325 pages in Word. It's my fault for not pruning earlier, right?

Here is what I see in OpenOffice:

And though they look like live links, it's completely editable. Maybe you should try OpenOffice . . . it's free . . . just Google it.

BobJam;
Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the $50 per month to get 1.5mbps connection. So, I am limited to 56K. Almost nothing is downloadable in 56K, that includes Open Office. Yes, I did buy it from a vendor, but it required so many patches and interrupted my internet connection so often that I uninstalled it.
Maybe one day, we will catch up with the third world and have the government subsidize the internet access for everyone. Naaaahhh! Never happen.
Thanks again.
