I am running Opera 9.27 and FF 3 on my lappy. I launched them both and just had them sitting there on my homepage. WOW!!!! FF3 was using almost twice the amount of ram as opera. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

Opera is definitely the lightest browser in terms of resource usage. It's also blazing fast... the only problem is that some sites aren't quite as compatible with it.

Opera 9.5 will have the ability to open tabs in other browsers. Kind of like IE tabs for FF. Check out this video.

Just installed 9.5B2........Holy crap. Pages load super quick. My 20/5 Fios connection seems faster. The open in another browser actually open the other browser and not in a tab. That kinda sucks, but it's still cool.

Does anybody know when they released the 9.5 Beta2. Because the original 9.5 Beta is pretty old (October 2007).

According to http://www.opera.com/docs/changelogs/windows/ 9.5 Beta 2 was released April 24th.
Also the article at http://www.pcmag.com/article2/.....692,00.asp says the final release of 9.5 should be available by Summer.

Hi thinking of trying Opera 9.5 , i have never used anything other than FireFox so is it worth it , can i have both running on my desktop or will one override the other , should i wait for the full version?

You can run them bot hat the same time with no issues. No one can tell you if it's worth it or not. You'd have to try it and decide for yourself. My opinion? Yeh, it's worth it. Uses less resources than FF and it is lightning Quick. I am a FF user and do not use IE, but after trying the 9.5b2 of Opera i think i will be using it more.

Dave, If you don't find the Opera answers here, go to the Opera Forum. They are very helpful and are, of course, specialized on Opera questions.
PS: Just make sure you post your question on their proper "Subforum". They are a little picky about that.

Hi played about with Opera agree very fast but couple of things need sorting before i totally convert from Firefox , Spellcheck just couldn't get it to work , Mail notifier the same and RSS feeds you need to open them a second time , but will definitely give it a go when the full version is available

Check out Opera Cache. Opera is the one to use!!! Only wish it had exit cleanup like Firefox.

As I had suggested before, your best bet for help is the Opera Forum http://my.opera.com/community/forums/
