Ive been using Ubuntu for about 3 months now and although happy with it, Ive started to wonder if I should give Fedora a try. After all, its the flavor Linus Torvalds uses! Anyway, I was wondering what the main differences/advantages are or would be.
Is it just another pretty desktop or are the programs different, does it work differently etc.
Here is a comprehensive comparison of both distros. Bottom line, Ubuntu is friendlier for newbies, Fedora is more suited for enterprise environments. I'm staying with Ubuntu since both distros use the Gnome and KDE desktops so I would not gain much by switching to Fedora.

I'm triple booting between Vista Ult 64, Ubuntu 8.10 64, and Fedora 10 64. Fedora seems slow to me for installing and upgrading the programs. Plus putting in "non-free" apps and drivers is a pain. However, I do use Ubuntu a lot more than the other OSes, so I am more familiar with it. I'm pretty sure if I used Fedora more often I'd say the same about Ubuntu.
