Hi,
i currently in possession of a 1TB external HDD which i partitioned in two drives like a year ago.The problem is that the second(i.e the smaller partition)which is roughly 20GB cannot be read by any system i attach the HDD.I highly reckon that a virus caused the partition to disappear but there's no virus currently inhibiting my system ....All i was requesting for is,suggestions on how i could recover the lost partition.Thanks in advance.

Tis Problem Like Posted is Why I Aways Recommend Setting Up Hard Dive(s) Geometry First BEFORE Installing O/S or Using O/S Disk Management Utility While Running on a Live System.

i solved the problem this early morning using r-studio 4.6.the software recognised the corrupt sector at the partition and recovered all the files form the presumably omitted extended partition(100% functional btw!)

it is recommendable.it retrieves all the data on a given corrupt HDD
