Hi, I have searched for the meaning of this error code "C015001A" when it came up in the Windows Update installation (you know, the first time installation software in order for the Windows Update to work in the future).

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to grasp the meaning on microsoft. Can someone please advise on this?

Thank you.

ashleygoh,

Do you by chance have Symantec AntiVirus?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have Norton 360 installed. Previously before I re-installed my Windows Vista, I was able to update and download all vista updates.

Should I re-install the Norton 360?

Thank you very much.

First, try right clicking on Windows Update and 'Run As Administrator', then Update again.

If that doesn't work try deactivating Norton temporarily.

Thanks Scott! I uninstall norton 360, and my Vista Update function works! Reinstall Norton 360, and there don't seem to be a glitch.

Thank you very much.
