My Epson Stylus S21 printer was working perfectly (about18months old) until i received an error message "The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life. Please contact Epson support." I contacted Epson by e-mail and received an answer basically saying sorry my printer has broken down, do I want to buy a new one. (Never again an Espon) I know there is a fix for this problem at at http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/S.....dsForm.jsp but the S21 is not listed as supported.

Help Please.

Hi leofwen. Welcome to HTG. My guess is that it will most likely cost you more to get
your printer fixed than buying a new one. Printers, like so many other products, have
planned obsolescence built into them.

I would insist that Epson replace the darn thing. I had a similar problem with a Canon printer that was over 2 years old and they replaced it without charge - even paid the shipping of the broken printer.
