Hey Geeks:

How does one edit the contents of the "New" submenu in the right hand context menu (the one that shows up when you right click on the desktop)? For instance, I don't want to see an option for a new "InterActual Skin" anymore.

Also, is there anyway to make it so that creating a new Microsoft Word Document in this way creates a 97-2003 .doc file instead of the new .docx file? Thanks in advance, guys.

It is controlled with registry keys. I can't find a GUI program to change it at the moment but I was able to make some registry edits to do those you can download and run.
For Removing the "InterActual Skin" item - http://www.techoddity.com/down.....remove.reg
For Adding the "Word 97-2003 Document" item - http://www.techoddity.com/down.....at-add.reg

@ jd2066: The links appear to be dead. Could you give me the subkey where I would find these registry values, or check the links? Thanks.

The links should be working now. I was working on my site and some things got broken for a little bit.

Thanks, jd2066...both of these have worked...how can I modify the registry values to add or remove other objects as needed?

Regarding your WORD problem, roll down "Save as type" in the "save as" window. There you find the 97-2003 option.
