I am wondering how to change the logon screen so instead of saying "Windows Vista Business" it would say something like "Windows Vista _______ Edition" or something like that. Also is there a way to change it so instead of saying "welcome" it could say something like "Access Granted"

no. not the boot screen the one that looks like this http://techie-buzz.com/images/.....oodle.jpg. i want to make the spot where it says 'Windows Vista Ultimate' say something else. i don't want to edit the background or the boot screen
I would advise you keep your hands off the dll's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DLL_hell what you are trying to do is not worth it, as you apparently have no clue how to approach the problem.
