Windows XP's CTRL + ALT + DEL key combination, which summons the task manager, has a slightly different effect in Windows Vista: it brings up a selection dialog (pictured) which requires another click or keypress to lock the computer, switch user, log off, change a password, or start the task manager. To go directly to the task manager and bypass this dialog altogether, like in the olden days? Hit CTRL + SHIFT + ESC instead.
