I've noticed that sites like facebook, send out e-mail notifications whenever someone posts a reply or comment on your postings. Is there any way to get notified when someone answers your posts on "How-To-Geek"?

At this moment there is no such option. The only option available is to login with your ID and click on the link that reads "Topics I have Participated" which is on the Right side.
