dvd rip and play
(13 posts)With the WMP you can listen to a track as soon as it's ripped and it continues the ripping of the following tracks. But since the ripping is a lot faster than the listening, you can only listen to a few tracks before the ripping is done. Just let it rip the first track and as soon as it starts ripping the second track, double click on the first track.
English, hi back. Nero versions 7 & 8 certainly do support Vista. Nero version 6 did not. Nero 7 & 8 can copy non-protected DVD Video discs to your hard drive and recode them. The lifehacker article that Budohorseman links to mentions DVD Shrink which hasn't been updated in years. The author sold it to Nero and now it's called Nero Recode. That's the latest and most currently updated version of the old DVD Shrink program.
For copy protected DVDs, DVDFab HD Decrypter is currently the best freeware one-click DVD ripper. All of the others are either paid versions or require multiple programs to handle all encryption schemes. The freeware version of DVDFab can be found here:

OK Guys for the last few weeks i have been testing two programs on my compter thingy,
and i can now copy films to my external hd i have approx 33 films saved useing dvd shrink 3.1 this program is free
and has no use by date which is nice.
Then all i have to do is give the film its title and drag and drop into a file.
To watch them i found that VLC media player works fine just download vlc player which ia another freeby.
and is also a great media player,
It has a traffic cone for a icon which is fine by me then
All you need to do is drag and drop the reqd film or music track onto the traffic cone and away it goes
this sollution suited my needs and my be off help to others.
