I recently got a Acer Aspire T690 from my dad. It originally had integrated graphics, but I installed a video card that I had around, Nvidia 8400 GT. The video card only has one DVI connection, but the motherboard has a VGA connection. My question is is it possible to use both the video card and the integrated graphics to use for a dual monitor setup, having one monitor run to the card and the other to the motherboard? A friend told me that he had setup one of his computers for dual monitor like this, but we weren't able to do it. Is it possible to do, and how if it is?

Hi CrashBurn102. In a word, No. Not possible.

Are you sure? My work computer that I'm typing this on has one monitor connected to the motherboard and the other is connected to a video card. The device manager lists both the video card (Nvidia GeForce4 MX) and the motherboard (Intel 21915) as display adapters.

I think there's an issue with Vista only being able to use one video card driver at a time. Is your work computer running XP?
