(Solved) - dual booting

I have windows 7 installed on my computer and decided to partition the hdd and install windows 8 on there. It's a 25 GB partition which is plenty to run it. Now the problem is the computer will not recognize windows 8 and boots right into windows 7. I tried using msconfig but it doesn't find win 8 at all. Anyone tell me if i am missing something or forgot something? Here is a quick summary...

This seems a bit too much. why make a vhd? I'll try this but I didn't have to do all this before for it to work.
