Hi,
I have 3 partitions on my drive, Windows 7, Windows 8 & Documents. I am trying to see if there is a way that windows 8 backup can backup all three partitions and if not, what is the best way to achieve this result?

Cheers

Use Macrium Reflect and image the drive (ie. all partitions) to an external drive. This could be done from Windows 7, Windows 8 or from a stand alone CD. You could then restore all, any one or two partitions or individual files from any of the partitions.

Where is the system partition. Look into Disk Management. Without it, a restore is useless because nothing will boot.

If you image the whole disk why would that not contain the system partition??

Well, if you don't know about the system partition, you might forget it - depending how you go about the imaging - especially for a first time user of Macrium.
