I installed win 7 on a separate partition and after it goes through the copying and install process, it boots up to windows and says it cannon complete final setup. I've encountered this same issue on my laptop and once i deleted the previous operating system it installed flawlessly. However I would prefer not to delete my current install of vista as it's my main computer source. Any ideas?

i'll give this a shot.

boot off Vista and then go to the disk management panel. look for the partition for Win7 and assign a drive letter to it (in case it's not assigned).

then reboot, cross your fingers, and make a good hot mug of brewed coffee. :-)
