(2 posts)You probably shouldn't format the C: drive because the boot information is most likely on it, although I'm not totally sure about that.
You could delete everything on the drive, like the windows and program files directories, which would give you the same effect.
Or you could always format it, and if it doesn't boot right then use the XP cd to restore the bootloader just in case.
