Even at my ripe old age and with a degree in Psychology, I STILL cannot understand why anyone would want to let themselves get ka ka countenanced like that.

Nothing wrong with a Pan-Dimensional Gargle Blaster from time to time.

CompWiz, "reverse engineering" can cause problems as we know.

Think of waiting on the downtrain platform waiting for the uptrain?

You should have been waiting on the uptrain side for the downtrain, the downtrain arrrives, you then realise the uptrain is the one you want.

There could be a loop here, Mr Magasaki is trying to walk down the escalator trying to connect to........his next connection, not realising the difference between uptrain and downtrain

Which might or could be another bar.

When he eventually gets home, wifey belts him with an iron bar

God bless him

"Nothing wrong with a Pan-Dimensional Gargle Blaster from time to time." +1, although the return journey tends to be unpleasant.

"being hit in the head with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick", seems to ring a bell.
