I am trying to re install Win 7 on a Dell 620 but the install program keeps asking for a cd with drivers in it. When I insert the dell Drivers and Utilities disk, the install program says there is nothing on it (indeed, everything is zipped on the drivers disk). Should I unzip everything and burn it to a new disk? will the install program be able to recognize the drivers then?

Have you tried just inserting the Drivers and Utilities disk before being prompted? There should be a 'setup' file that runs and extracts/installs the drivers automatically. You can certainly unzip the files and then install them manually either by running the installer from each file or from within Device Manager if there is no installer. Final alternative is to download the drivers from the Dell site - the advantage of this is that you will get the most recent ones.

Incidentally, if you do install using a manual method, make sure you install any chipset drivers first.
