Hi,

I have a new laptop installed with Windows 7 (Home) One of the websites I have been using for ages requires a Flash Player, but I don't seem to be able to download Adobe Flash. I have tried both Firefox and IE8. I remember having some trouble doing this when I used XP, but it was not this hard. Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance, Mickmac

What exactly is the problem when you attempt to download Adobe Flash Player?

You can always try downloading them directly and installing:

http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/6693/
http://filehippo.com/download_.....efox/6694/

The first is for Internet Explorer and the second for Firefox.

Hi geeman89,

Thanks for the reply.

Not sure what is happening, but I go thru the download process and cannot find Adobe Flash anywhere in the computer. Typed "Adobe Flash" into Search but nothing there. The website I need flash for is not working, meaning it is not installed. Where would it be if it was installed ?

The files should be located in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\. That being said, there are never any shortcuts created. Just try installing flash, then restart your browser, then load the site in question.

This is the Adobe Flash test page. It will show you if you do have flash player installed or not. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
If you do have flash installed and still have problems, try uninstalling and reinstalling. This is the flash uninstaller. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
