I have Windows NT server with service pack6 when i open task manager i observed that WINS service is consuming 99% cpu utilization i tried to restart the service but stop and start button is not high lighted for WINS service and for other service i am able to restart the service. when i open WINS application from Administrative Tools nothing is highlighted for WIS. is any way to repair WINS service? I have full access on server.

Please Help me Due to this my sever is slow down.

From searching online it appears other people have had that problem but no solution.
One thing one page said was to check the Event Viewer for errors.
Also knowing Windows I would say to try restarting if possible to see if helps.
