Sometimes when I single click on something it will go through as a double click. I have tried fixing this problem by moving the speed but it still does it. is there another way to fix it or find out what is wrong.

Go into My Documents, Tools, Folder Options. In the General Tab make sure that you have Double-Click to open selected.

cdm1989,
Welcome to The HTG Forums.

This could be either a software or hardware issue.

Let's get the H/W issue out of the way first.

How old is your mouse ??

Sometimes due to heavy usage, the mouse buttons will wear and cause "Chatter" which will give the effect you are experiencing.

I have gone through many mice which became unusable because of this.

Do you have another mouse you can try out ??

Please post back.

Kindest Regards,
Rick P. ♥ :)

My mouse is about 5 years old. I do have another mouse i can use. But this is not the only time this has happened. It has happened before but my computer had a spyware so we had to take it to get it fixed. After it was fixed mouse started working normally. Recently we had another spyware but i managed to fix by downloading avg and spybot search and destroy.
