We have several virtual machines and a separate physical server as our Domain Controller. Our IT person is suggesting that we backup the Domain Controller onto one of the virutal machines, but on a new environent instead of putting it on one that is being used as a BES server (only 3 users on the BES). Is it really necessary to backup the Domain Controller on a separate machine? It sounds like a waste of space and software licensing just to have the DC on one whole virtual server...

Any other suggestion on how to design a DC backup?

Thank you!

Sounds like internal organizational politics or the company doesn't have the money to procure licensing.

Suggest You an IT Person work on issue TOGETHER.
