my laptop has 3 gb RAM and i am going to upgrade it to 4 gb RAM.
Does 4 gb of RAM is a sufficient condition for WIN7 64 bit?

yep as whs said, its ample for 64-bit win7, by the way for info sake.... 32-bit can only recognize up to +/- 4GB of RAM and 64-bit can recognize and utilize up to 4GB and much more.
