Do you think the admins know my password at college?

Or do they not require a password they can simply get in without any warning....?

If the network is owned by the college, then it is almost certain that they can access your data without a password. In otherwords, they can be aware of anything you may do or say on their network so be careful what you say or which websites you go to while on their network. They might even be able to peek at content on your computer.

yeah i know they can see my content i have as i have accessed that folder, when i click on a user account, (which lets you view their docs) it says

"You do not have permission to access this folder...>"

Just to clarify, most collages have a IT department and a help desk in each building on campus suffice to say that anybody that works in the IT department has access to everything on the collage network. They have to keep the network up and running. So, in short, yes they can..
