I use Windows 8 and have continual internet connection problems. I always get a notice that the website is unavailable (even Hotmail). The trouble-shooter always detects that 'The DNS serer isn't responding', yet when I close the trouble shooter window, I then connect. Has anyone else had this problem?

On the internet properties / programs tab, insure the [ open Internet Explorer tiles on the desktop ] Check Mark Box is Checked.

It is not by default and you have to do it during system setup after installation.

Thanks raphoenix. That box wasn't checked - did so - but it did not correct the problem even after a restart. Maybe I'll try calling my internet provider.
