One of the strangest errors i've run into yet.
I recently installed windows 7 on my work machine. I use photoshop to slice and save out images for web sites at my company. When I zoom in to resize the slices to the right pixel the display driver will fail often. What specifically happens is the program and mouse cursor freeze for about a second, then the screen flickers black for about two seconds, then back on and black again four or more times, then everything comes back on just fine and I get the windows task bar popup that says the display driver failed.
This whole thing takes about 10 or 15 seconds to happen and when it happens as often as it does it is not something I can ignore anymore.
I confirmed I have the most recent display drivers installed.
I have photoshop cs4
Thanks for any help guys. I'll definately repay any generosity with answering other questions on this forum.
