Hi All,
I am new to the forum so this is my first post/question I am hoping to find an answer to. If I boot into Windows normally, only the files on C: are available to work with, all files on other partitions are invisible although Windows (XP), sees the partitions and tells me how much space is used/free on those partitions. If I boot into safe mode I can see and work with all files on all partitions. Has anyone else encountered this? Can anybody point me in the right direction to a solution. This may have happened after someone unplugged an external USB drive without going through the safe to remove routine but I am not positive about that. Thanks in advance.

Maybe the drive letters assignments somehow got removed.
Here is how to check and set one:
1. Right click on "My Computer" and click Manage.
2. Click "Disk Management" on the left.
3. Right click on the partition and click "Change Drive Letter and Paths..."
4. If a letter isn't displayed one isn't set and you can click "Add" to set one.
