256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

I would like to know the difference between the 2 graphic card and how good are these? .Please tell me the specifications in details other than the size(MB)..

The 8600M GT is a more powerful GPU and would be better for games and video editing. If you plan on mostly just using it for web surfing and dvd playing, the 8400M GS will take care of you just fine. http://hothardware.com/Article.....ew/?page=2 for a nice little table of the different GPU's.

The "M" at the end of the name is for "Mobile". In other words, these chips are designed for use in a notebook or laptop PC. That means less power, less heat, and far less performance than the equivalent desktop GPU. You asked about graphics "cards", not chips. If you see a graphics *card* with a mobile processor on it, my advice would be to drop it and run away. :-)
