Desktop item very difficult to delete

Hello everyone,

I have a problem I need to fix.

I have a video on my desktop that I am trying to delete. I have tryied anything but I wasn't able to do it.

The video seems to be linked to explorer.exe. So every time I start up my PC it is directly linked to explorer.exe. When I try delete it, the message box says: the action can't be comleted because the file is open in explorer. I found away to find out if it was linded to anything else in explorer ans swa that it was somwhow linked to Rundll32 in the windows/system32/ folder. So I deleted this file, but it didn't work.

So I need help from someone to delete it.

You need RUNDLL32, you shouldn't have deleted it.

It might just be 'locked', get a file unlocker (google for it) and unlock it, then you should be able to delete it.

Also, if it IS running, you should be able to open Task Manager and close it, then delete it.

Getting back RUNDLL32 might be a problem since this is W8. Should be in the i386 folder on the DVD and you should be able to EXPAND the file, but you might have to do a re-install as well. I assume this is a legit W8.

Sounds like a dodgy file to me, what is the file extension of the video file ?
