I installed a WinXP book reader program on Vista and it wouldn't work, so I removed it using the Control Panel but even after removing the program and rebooting, the icon won't delete. How do I get this icon off my desktop?

(I just got Vista a few days ago, and am clueless about the registry in it, although did use it in XP, so just keep that in mind in your response if I have to change something in the registry. Thanks.)
