When I try to open My Music or My Videos I get a message that a i am deniedd access

Please elaborate. Are you logged in as administrator or as a secondary user to your operating system?

There is only myself logged in & I am also set as Administrator.

Now there arises two possibilities. There may be some third party software doing the same or some virus is there in your system. I suggest you to scan your system with your antivirus and search for the s/w(if any), and let me know what happens...

Check the properties of these folders and click on security, choose the user and check the permissions, if deny is checked then you can uncheck them by clicking on the edit button.
