I run VISTA and use both Word 2003 and Word 2007. Have no probs deleting or moving Word 2007 files but no success doing either with Word 2003. Have turned off Vista's User Account Control but no success.
Having said that sometimes by re-opening Windows Exploer's Documents folder it works. What a pest!!!!

Any ideas to make a permanent fix!!!

Have you tried a repair install of 2003?
