I had a lot of Microsoft problems and eventually my o ld email path was deleted and recreated. Well i have emails taht were saved to my documents files that i cna no longer open or delete. when i try to do either - i get a dialog box that says "preparing to discover from files" or something close to that.
I am on windows 7 and office 2010. This is jaming up some of my folders and causing problems.
Can anyone help?

If you're trying to delete a folder with a lot of files in it, it can take several minutes to figure out what to do and then it takes its own sweet time deleting the files. This is just the way it works unfortunately. I believe it has to do with the more robust management of NTFS formatted drives. You can start other tasks while this is going on though.
