is there any way to delete unwanted updates on a dell pc with vista basic you can hide them but i would like to delete the ones that dont apply to me mosty the ones marked optional.thank you all for any help.merry christmas to all!

(5 posts)Ok, I don't understand how it's like a bill but I can tell you why deleting hidden updates is not possible and why.
The list of updates available for your computer is always calculated when you check for updates based on if an update could apply to your system so an update will always appear if it might be needed. The only way for the detection to know you think otherwise is to check a list and not display an update if it's on the list.
And you need a way to edit the list in case you made a mistake on hiding an update.
