Does anyone know why my system would have such a long delay when right clicking ANYWHERE, whether on the desktop, or in windows explorer, to use the context menu, or when I choose to delete something.
What is happening is this:
I have an old icon on my desktop that no longer points to anything, so I want to delete
it. Well, I right click the icon to choose "delete"...BUT it takes about 7-10 seconds for the context menu to appear! The same happens if I just highlight the icon and hit the
delete key...it takes 7-10 seconds for the confirmation dialog.
This is ULTRA annoying. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?
Can I fix it?
Please advise.
TIA
