The defrag might be set more frequent than once a month as default. Type DEFRAG into the Start search and open the Disk Defragmenter (above). There you can modify the schedule.

Not these days. But it is quicker if you do.

when I defragment my computer, it takes more than six hours.

i used to do it on a monthly basis...but *&%$ havnt done it in a while.

I defragment occasionally, I just leave it on over night, seems to do the trick
