I'm trying to increase the space between lines in a MS Word 2007 document. I have used the special button, but with no results - I want to make the space even smaller. [please see picture]

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Usually holding down shift whilst pressing Enter will make the text go onto the next line instead of doing the obnoxious spacing inbetween.

This is a 'thing' with the new Word's Paragraph spacing. Be sure to go into there and set everything to do with line spacing to Single and 0.0.

Click on the little arrow as indicated and make the settings as shown. That will give you the single spacing. Then click "Default".

Did you try reducing line spacing from single to .7 or .8 (by selecting multiple)?
