intel. they have tech that amd just dont have. like hyperthreading which would be crucial for games that support it.

Definitely the Intel processor. AMD has some pretty good mobile processors that have decent graphics cards for a better price than Intel, but since we are talking about building your own computer, then I would highly suggest getting the Intel.

The 'K' model you can easily overclock. Just get a board that facilitates overclocking.
