Anybody know of a good one?
You will probably say Handbrake but I have tried that before and it is a little bit complicated and the interface is odd - did I just get the older version do you think?

Decent Free DVD Rippers
(4 posts)Aleeve, the most decent free ripper is DVDFab HD Decrypter free. It is simple to use and powerful enough to handle the latest extra protection, such as found on Sony DVDs.

The trade-off is that the free version has limited function. It will rip an entire disc only, there are no options to only select certain titles or chapters. To get that kind of control, you need to pay.
To be completely thorough, there are some other free solutions, such as DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD for the protection that Decrypter can't handle. In other words, you need 2 free programs to do what DVDFab can do with one. Personally, I don't consider such a solution to be "decent". At the very least it lacks elegance.
