Hey everyone,

Is there a way to show the time and date int he system tray of windows XP? I know you can make the taskbar double height and it will show the date. However, i don't want the taskbar the big. I know there are third party apps that will do it, but i don't want to install an app just for that. Is there a reg hack that will allow the date to be shown in the system tray while the taskbar is at regular height? Thanks.

@InDiSent: Unfortunately, I think the two ways you listed are the only ones that work.
I used TClock Light when I used Windows XP to display the date in the taskbar.
With Vista I just use the sidebar gadget for the data.

I use AlphaClock Free and it works very well giving me plenty of options and configurations. It can be found midway down the page at: http://www.alfasoftweb.com/download/
