data dvd read as a blank please help me out

my sony vaio vpceg25en reads copyright CD's only , it detects dvd bt reads it as a blank CD n open up burn a disk window
i have dis prob. since many days for dat i have made following attemps bt still d prob has nt resolved
1.device manager\cd-dvd rom drives\TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633F i have uninstalled dis n restarted
2.deleted upper filter in specific registry
3.formatted whole pc n reinstalled the original drivers
still the problem persisted, can u please help me out from dis

open the case. Check connectors on the back of the optical drive and on the motherboard to see they are seated properly.
