The guide is for XP but the comments say that it can work with Vista as well. Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the help. I am new at forum so hope I'm sending this reply correctly. Anyway I got this new comp and trying to run old (REAL old) games and the 64-bit issue is sometimes a pain for old stuff (like me!). I will eventually try the solution you found, only I'm a scaredy-cat about editing the registry, so still looking for a safer way to do it. Again, I appreciate your help.
