Cyclic Redundancy Check

I backed up my pictures and video files to a DVD. Formatted my external harddrive. Tried to reload the DVD but it keeps giving me a Cyclic Redundancy Check error. I loaded the other DVD with files and no problem. The DVD is clean, there are no fingerprints or dirt on it. Is there any sort of fix for me to get the files loaded back on the harddrive?

That maybe some bad sectors on your external hard drive. Right click on that drive > Properties > Tools > Error checking > Check now > Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors > Start

The other possibility is (and probably more likely) that the DVD is the culprit. In that case chech out this:
