Our dreaded days came true, the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10175) of the Republic of the Philippines is now fully effective, October 3, 2012 :( Protesters weren't successful on seizing the law passing a TRO on it.

"SEC. 19. Restricting or Blocking Access to Computer Data. — When a computer data is prima facie found to be in violation of the provisions of this Act, the DOJ shall issue an order to restrict or block access to such computer data."
It states that our Government can seized and can access our computer as well as the data/info on it, like files, browser history, etc2x w/o a court order :(
This should NOT affect you in any unless you're now Participating in or Planning to Commit one the CHAPTER II PUNISHABLE ACTS which are generally considered unacceptable behaviors by most all folks world wide. Individual Freedom comes with Responsibility and Accountability to and from all who engage in said Freedom. Anarchy and Freedom do not have the same definitions. There always must be some rules and regulations or Primitive Anarchy will always prevail over the General Freedom of all. This is an axiom of truth and not a political statement.
