@whs: I just looked at your screen shot again. It appears you skipped the "Local Settings" key. You want the Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion under "Local Settings" not the one just in Classes.

(51 posts)PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! the problem was i was not opening the sub folders dont remember wicth one it was but found traynotify d followed the geeks artical and it worked but it did leave task manger in the past item list but 1 is better than 50.whs on your screenshot you need to open ms or windows or current version one of those got me where i needed to be scott,lighthouse,whs,jd thank you all for taking time out of your life to help a simple minded guy like me thank you all.
I missed it for a while too. It wasn't until I figured out the key had to be there from a couple checks in a virtual machine and I took another look at the screen shot to figure out the problem. I noticed that my registry key didn't have a Run or Deployment key so I looked again and found the problem.
I'm not sure what the purpose of the Classes\Software key is as the Virtual Machine didn't have it but I think my real install has it.
Some program must be setting that key. Not sure what though.
Edit: @whs: Don't feel to bad, we all have made silly mistakes like that and then wonder how we missed it.
