customize notification icons

when i go there i have 2 list current items and past items i have about 50 past items i would like to delete.could someone please tell me how to do this. thanks in advance,btw its for a dell laptop with vista basic.thanks again

mpc, do those "past icons" actually show up in your hidden part of the notification area (system tray) or only in the taskbar properties?

they really dont bother me, iam one of those guys if you dont use it lose it [lol] but does it not use up ram to some degree? thanks guys, i forgot to mention the geek says "explorer keeps items in menory somwhere,so its also causing bloat" thank you all again.
edit: got the qoute from the link scott gave me.

If any RAM is being used to store that list, it's too small to make any difference.

mpc is right. There is no TrayNotify in Current Version.

You could try just doing a search for "IconStreams" (no quotes (in Regedit))

no that didnt work lighthouse, scott my page didnt look like your screenshot are you using basic because i am and i see no tray notify or iconstreams
