Hey guys, how does this build look? I'm trying not to spend a penny more than this to be honest lol. I mostly play Second Life (combat, its called DCS2) and what not, so lag prevention is at a premium. Let me know what you think.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I already have a free copy of Windows 7 on its way from a laptop purchase last month. I also have a sound card, keyboard, monitor, mouse, and speakers, so i THINK that's all I need, though I've never done any computer-related work like this before.

thanks!

ok, first of all the RAM you chose will not work on the motherboard as the motherboard only supports DDR2.
for 500 buckeroos heres a good setup, have a look and tell me what you think........

3 in 1 Bundle/combo $230 here
AMD Phenom 2 x2 Black edition 3.1ghz
HIS Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit video card
Raidmax Smilodon extreme ATX with 500W powersupply
ASUS M4A77TD Pro AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard $80 (after rebate) here
G.skill DDR3 1333 2 x 2Gb RAM $70 here
WD 500Gb 7200rpm HD $56 here

total of $ 436 for a decent system. still have cash left over for ummmmm whatever :)

Hey Mickey, thanks for the reply! The only problem with that setup is that I already have the BFG Tech PSU and the graphics card, got them a little under a month ago because they were on sale at a local place for super cheap, going out of business sale. However, I'm still trying to stay under $500 total, including those two items being bought already. Sorry for being way overly complicated! lol

okey dokey, no problem so here is what we have to work with
you have:
MSI Nvidia GTS250 $135
BFG tech 550w PSU $40
Total : $175 that leaves $325 to get the rest of the parts... here goes.......
AMD Phenom 2 x2 545 3.0ghz $90 here
ASUS M4A77TD Pro AM3 ATX AMD Motherboard $80 (after rebate) here
ANTEC 300 case $52 here
WD caviar blue 250GB HD $48 here
G.skill 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333 $70 here
Total is $340 thats 15$ over but thats due to the RAM, if you dont mind $15 extra then no worries, but if you cant do it id suggest going for 2Gb of RAM and you will save more money. hope this helps.
