is there a way in outlook 2003 or 2007 where you can create a rule that will allow the assignments of expiration dates based on an identifier(i.e. sender)

What do you mean by expiration date?

You can usually set a rule to set different flags, but you could also write a script and set that to run based on the sender.

ok, if you open an email and you go to view->options you can check the "expires box" and set a date. What i was wondering is if you could write a rule in outlook that would allow you to do this.

I'm not sure that you can set a rule for that one without a script. I'd have to look into it further to be sure, but I don't think there's a simple way to do it (unless I'm missing something)
