I have a friends computer that he needed fixed.
I ran an antivirus software to find out he has some programs that were corrupt.
He is 70 miles away and I don’t have his Windows XP CD. I am running XP Pro.
Is there a easy way to get a hold of these files without waiting for his CD? I don’t think I can use my XP pro cd or can I? Is there a nother way around this?
Here are the names of the corrupt programs.
Explorer.exe, Lsass.exe Services.exe, Svchost.exe and Winlogon.exe.

If the discs are extactly the same edition and service pack level then you can probably use the recovery console to restore the files.
Here are some examples:
XP Home SP1 Installed, XP Home SP1 Disc, Will Work
XP Home SP1 Installed, XP Pro SP1 Disc, Will Not Work
XP Home SP1 Installed, XP Home SP2 Disc, Will Not Work
