converting to 3gp error

After downloading .flv content, i try to convert them to 3gp to import to my phone. However when i play it, the sound is perfect, but video frames are messed about. How can i fix this error? Please help, i can provide more information.

have you tried a different software other than the one you are using? and what one are you using to convert right now? i will see what i can find on the subject but i've never tried any of this my self so i will have to learn some first
